Trauma Therapy for Moms
Sandpoint, Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls, and throughout Idaho
You’re holding it all together… but inside, it feels like you’re falling apart.
You love your kids MORE than anything.
You WANT to be present for them, to soak in the little moments, to feel the joy of motherhood.
But instead, you find yourself stuck in old patterns—perfectionism, people-pleasing, overthinking, or shutting down when things get overwhelming.
Maybe you lose your patience and then instantly feel guilty.
Maybe you keep everything running smoothly on the outside, but inside, you feel completely disconnected—from yourself, from your family, from life.
And maybe, deep down, you’re scared that the things you’ve buried for so long are still dictating the way you parent, the way you love, the way you see yourself.
I see you… I’ve been you… And I want you to know—it’s not your fault.
The past has a way of creeping into the present, especially when we’ve experienced trauma.
The way you feel right now—the exhaustion, the overwhelm, the feeling that you’re never enough—it all makes sense.
Your nervous system has been running on overdrive for years, trying to keep you safe.
You learned to push your needs aside to take care of everyone else.
You learned to be small, to be perfect, to make sure no one was upset.
But now, those same survival strategies are keeping you stuck!
It’s time to heal…
To release you from your past, so you can find yourself in the present.
Common Signs of Trauma Affecting Moms
You do everything for your family but never have time for yourself.
You feel disconnected from yourself and your relationships.
You’re stuck on autopilot—physically present but mentally checked out.
You struggle with people-pleasing and perfectionism, trying to control everything so you don’t spiral.
You turn to emotional eating, alcohol, doom scrolling, or Netflix to numb out or avoid.
Life feels constantly chaotic, and you never experience a true sense of calm.
You don’t want to pass your trauma onto your children, but you feel stuck.
You feel disconnected from your significant other, longing for a deeper connection.
You often feel anxious or depressed without knowing why.
You lash out at your kids or partner, even when you don’t mean to.
You’re always on the go, trying to be the best parent or partner, but never feeling like you’re enough.
If any of this resonates, trauma therapy can help you get out of survival mode and reconnect with yourself and your family.
How Trauma Therapy Can Help Moms
Through trauma therapy, I help moms like you:
STOP feeling guilty or the need to be perfect all the time so you can actually enjoy your life.
Learn to regulate your nervous system so you don’t feel like you’re constantly on edge, ready to snap or shut down.
HEAL from past wounds so you can stop repeating the patterns that no longer serve you.
Reconnect with yourself so you feel more at peace, more present, and more confident in who you are.
Build healthier relationships—with your kids, your partner, and most importantly, yourself.
After working through your trauma, you may begin to notice:
Feeling less anxious and overwhelmed.
A stronger connection with your family and spouse.
Less reactivity and more emotional control.
A deep sense of calm and grounding.
No longer need to rely on people-pleasing, perfectionism, emotional eating, or alcohol to cope.
Feeling fully present and engaged with your loved ones.
Better boundaries and self-worth.
Knowing that your trauma no longer controls your life.
As a Trauma Therapist,
I take a client-centered approach, meaning YOU are always in control of your healing. My role is to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you feel truly seen and heard. I help you tune into your body, process emotions, and release trauma so you can step into the peaceful, present life you deserve.
I use trauma-informed approaches like Brainspotting, EMDR, and nervous system techniques to help you process what’s keeping you stuck and move toward real healing. My goal isn’t to “fix” you—it’s to help you come home to yourself.
Breaking the Cycle for Future Generations
You don’t want your trauma to be your child’s trauma. Healing yourself allows you to parent from a place of connection rather than survival. By doing this work, you’re not only transforming your life—you’re breaking the cycle for your children.
I believe—
You are NOT broken.
Your needs MATTER.
You DESERVE to feel safe and at peace.
Healing is POSSIBLE with the right support.
Brainspotting Therapy
Brainspotting is a powerful, somatic-based trauma therapy that helps process trauma without needing to retell every detail. You don’t need to find the perfect words—just noticing what happens in your body can lead to profound healing. Brainspotting allows you to release stored trauma gently and at your own pace, leading to a sense of relief and calm.

EMDR Therapy
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps you process traumatic memories and replace negative beliefs with more empowering ones. Instead of being triggered by the past, you’ll be able to respond to life with clarity and calm. EMDR helps reduce the emotional charge of traumatic memories so they no longer have power over you.

Emotional Eating Therapy
Many moms turn to food for comfort, only to feel guilty afterward. Emotional eating is often tied to unresolved trauma. With trauma therapy, I help you heal the root cause of emotional eating so that food no longer feels like a source of stress. You’ll learn how to regulate your emotions without using food as a coping mechanism.
